Mel Bromberg was a mildly successful lounge singer whose career was going nowhere.

Diabolical Carnage was the fresh Norwegian "discomfort metal" band, recently relocated to Reno, Nevada with hopes of fame and fortune.

The night was January 14th, 2001 in Reno. It was 10:00pm. Mel Bromberg's backing band was nowhere to be found1 and they were scheduled to go on stage at High Sierra Lanes Bar and Bowling at 10:30pm. Enter the Carnage: Zephron, Gholar, and Vlad, half drunk and high on quaaludes ready for their Sunday night league bowling game answered Mel's call for a band.

And history was made...

1. Sadly, two of the members in Mel's backing band (John Boston and Jim George) were found dead in the alley behind the Circus Circus Hotel and Casino due to mysterious circumstances. Authorities are still investigating.
